Skirt with MacFarlane or Lendrum tartan

New skirt in the shop… And new shop by the way. ^.^

The "Lendrum" tartan is registered with the Scottish Tartan Society and is better known as the "MacFarlane" tartan. The latter name is the one by which all of the setts were first known, and when and why they also became Lendrum tartans is unclear. There can be no connection between the names, historically speaking, the MacFarlanes are from the area around Arrochar at the top of Loch Lomond while the Lendrums come from a place of that name near Turriff in Aberdeenshire.

Lady Boys of Bangkok are kathoey . The word kathoey is thought to be of Khmer origin. It is most often rendered as ladyboy in English conversation with Thais and this latter expression has become popular across South East Asia except in the Philippines where the term Billyboy is sometimes used.

The Lady Boys of Bangkok is a cabaret show featuring sixteen kathoey from Thailand. The show includes elements of dance, cabaret, and comedy.
The Lady Boys perform as part of the Edinburgh Festival and Brighton Festival Fringe, and they regularly tour the United Kingdom both before and after their August run in Scotland. The show in Edinburgh takes place in The Sabai Pavilion, a large purpose-built tent.

First skirt with Christina Young's tartan

Skirts! I love wearing tartan. I studied almost 300 tartans and choosed some classic ones, matching with the Bitchette's colour chart.

Christina Young tartan is one of the Clan Young's tartans, designed by Christina Young at the end of the XVIIIth century.

J'ai rencontré Diabolotino alors qu'il avait un problème de livraison, suite à une panne de réseau SL. Pour faire passer le désagrément qu'il avait subi, je lui ai offert la collection Kerberos. Ce très chouette petit gars a aussitôt créé un article sur An Eye for An Eye dans un forum français de mode SL : SL Fashion Addict.

This nice looking guy upstairs is Diabolotino. I met him on one of these (now frequent) transmission problems, and he appeared to be a sweet young gentleman, as sorry as I was. Thus, I offered him the whole Kerberos set, without knowing he was a french reporter from SL Fashion Addict. The day after, he wrote a nice paper about An Eye for An Eye.

I share a sim with my friends Glimmering Sands (a spiritual elve) and Cathiee McMillan (a talented and gorgeous photographer). We intend to give the place an original and peaceful environment.

AEfAE - Kerberos I

I'm proud to say that these eyes are my favorite and seem to be customer's ones. In this set, there's various influences : movies, mangas, etc. You can find eyes from Naruto, Xenosaga, Ghost Rider movie, Dune, Killzone, Helghast, Bleach, Lord of the Rings… And many more to come…

Every eye is different from another. For this, I tried to open my mind to cultures I didn't know, and among them, mangas. So I started to read, an I'm still in it. ^.^

Every eye is painted, no copy/paste, no stealing from author's images. It's only inspirated by the movies, mangas and so on, and adaptated for Second Life's avatars.

I received some orders from customers and am working on animated eyes… coming soon!

Je ne suis pas peu fière d'avoir reçu des compliments de la part 'amateurs invétérés de Naruto, concernant l'œil de Gaara. Du coup, je travaille sur une série Kerberos II, qui incluera plusieurs yeux de ce célèbre manga.

AEfAE - Danae

Danae serie is based on real eyes. From a photography, I created a neutral grey version. Then, I adapted an faded explosion's layer on it, and several other layers to accentuate contrast and defects. Each of the 16 pairs of the set received a specific treatment of colors, lights,additions, etc.

See below, the different colors. Some are traditional (brown, blue, grey), other fictional (red, white)…

You can find this set inworld, and on SLExchange and Shop.Onrez.

Prices are low : 59 L$ for each pair, 599 L$ for the set (16 pairs).

Initialement, la série comptait une douzaine de paires d'yeux seulement. Les quatre couleurs de droite ont récemment été ajoutées pour harmoniser les séries et les proposer désormais par groupes de seize yeux.

Je porte régulièrement les Gris-Bleu et les Violets, plutôt rares dans SL.

Prenez le temps de passer à la clinique pour voir les détails d chaque œil avant de faire votre choix. J'y suis régulièrement et aurai grand plaisir à bavarder avec vous.

AEfAE - Nebula

In the meantime I was making the Nemesis serie, I've been attracted by Hubble images. Some of them look like eyes, such as the Cat's Eye Nebula.

My favorite is the one above, used in all the advertising panels. It's called Schylla. You can purchase it for 50 L$.

AEfAE - Nemesis

First of all, I own a mall in Celsia Island. (I'll introduce you the friends I've got there in a few days.)

There, I opened a shop called An Eye for An Eye.

The first serie of eyes I made is called Nemesis. I spent time on it, learning a lots of things about eyes, surgery, colors, and all.

My friend Joan Monstre told me I needed to make two sizes of eyes, best SL eyes being more little than real life's.

So, for 50 L$ (it was 100 L$ until now), you can get two pairs of eyes, in 15 different colors.

Nemesis is made with real eyes photos. Every pair is unique, because I worked on everyone of them to add details, equilibrate tones, etc.

I have been very proud to see that Harper Beresford mentioned these eyes in SL men blog. Infiner Morigi, head DJ at Club Industry bought several Nemesis eyes some weeks ago, and made me proud.

It's a first.

Petit secret de fabrication : la pupille est faite à partir de la photo du reflet d'une fenêtre dans un verre de vin, afin de transmettre l'impression de rondeur, l'humidité de l'œil et de conférer à la pupille une sorte de réalisme. Même dans une résolution de 512 x 512, les détails de la fenêtre sont relativement nets.

But, after working on other series, I would like to better this one ; not all the eyes, but some of them. The updates will be sent freely to the past customers.
